From 1942 Michael was a “Hashomer Hatzair” ken leader in Budapest. In 1944 he was engaged in organizing hiding places. Michael was caught and taken for interrogation to the Gestapo headquarters on Schwab Hill in Buda. He was deported to Auschwitz and died in the Gusen camp in Austria.
